The New Cool is coming, and it’s enabled by Copeland CO2 scroll technology. Copeland introduces a new range of refrigeration units for medium temperature applications. Ranging from 10 to 46 kW of cooling capacity, they are specially designed for small and medium-sized retail formats. At the heart of the new refrigeration units beats an entirely new type of transcritical CO2 scroll compressor that offers a whole range of advantages.
Many supermarkets in urban environments have to deal with challenging installation conditions, space constraints and strict noise regulations. As the new Copeland CO2 technology has mainly been designed for small and medium sized stores, Copeland has put a strong focus on easy and flexible installation during the development of the new refrigeration unit range. For the technology to be installed in all scenarios, Copeland offers units that are lightweight, extremely compact and optimized for silent operation.
Also, consequently, the refrigeration units are developed following a modular design concept: They can be installed packaged or split, indoor or outdoor giving maximum flexibility for the target application. A gas cooler that can be positioned horizontally, vertically and stand-alone opens further possibilities in installation. This modular design makes the new refrigeration units the perfect choice for urban environments as well as for refurbishments where space is limited.
