ST. LOUIS (August 26, 2024) – Copeland, a global provider of sustainable climate solutions, announced Sara Kampfe, manager of chemistry and polymer engineering at Copeland, was named to The ACHR NEWS Top 40 Under 40 List as one of the top contributors to the HVACR industry.
Prior to joining Copeland, Sara Kampfe has held various scientist and leadership positions in the renewable energy industry. In her current role, Sara manages a team of scientists who are responsible for analyzing oils, refrigerants, elastomers and polymers to optimize Copeland compressors for use with these materials to ensure compressor reliability. As a leading scientist within Copeland, Sara has been involved in multiple projects that are part of the company’s strategic goals to enable the usage of next generation of low GWP refrigerants in Copeland products. She has also mentored colleagues and co-op students to help them better understand the chemistry and compatibility of Copeland’s materials of construction in HVACR applications. Sara is also an active participant in several committees in the refrigerant and lubricant space for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
