Kennesaw, Georgia — October 8, 2018 — Emerson (NYSE: EMR) announced today the release of the GO Real-Time Secure Tracker. This product introduction combines GPS tracking technology with a CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) compliant steel locking bolt that provides added security against theft of high-value cargo transported over the road or via ocean shipments. Attached to the locking mechanism on the exterior of a container, GO Real-Time Secure will signal if container doors have been compromised or if shipments have deviated from their intended course.
“Cargo theft is a significant and growing global issue,” said Frank Landwehr, vice president and general manager, Cargo Solutions for Emerson. “This latest innovation from Emerson was developed to enhance supply chain security, reduce the financial loss from stolen cargo, and assist law enforcement in the recovery of high-value items.
The GO Real-Time Secure Tracker is available now. Users can opt to use the device independently by leveraging the online Oversight dashboard or Oversight mobile app to help track and monitor shipments during transport of cargo. In addition, Emerson offers managed services for customers who desire a third party to monitor real-time alerts.
Live demonstrations will take place at the PMA Fresh Summit 2018, Booth #851.
